2011 Skoda Laura RS

The latest sedan model to be launched by the Skoda Motors is the super performer the Laura RS (known as the Octavia RS in international markets). This new Skoda Laura RS that belongs to the D+ segment in the Indian automobile field is expected to reach the market by the second half of this year.

New Skoda Laura RS, a perfect car for a performance enthusiast features a 1798cc, 4 Cyls, In-Line, TSi Petrol engine that will provide a maximum power of about 160 Bhp @ 4500 rpm and a maximum torque of about 250 Nm @ 1500 rpm. The Laura RS might come with six-speed manual or six-speed auto DSG box. It is said to achieve a top-speed of about 230 kms in perfect running conditions.

Some of the notable features related with this new Skoda Laura RS are it's Superb Looks, Luxurious Interiors and Solid Build Quality. The main drawback of this new powerful sedan, Skoda Laura RS is that it's Rear looks more or less same like old model.

Price for this new Skoda Laura RS is expected to be around Rs 17 lakhs.

Skoda Launched its Compact SUV Yeti in India

Skoda India recently launched its compact D segment crossover type Ambiente model SUV vehicle in Indian market named 'Yeti' and the all new 2011 Skoad Yeti will comes available in two variants - Ambiente and Elegance. The price of Skoda Yeti is around Rs. 15.40 lakhs for the Yeti Ambiente and Rs. 16.62 lakhs for the Yeti Elegance model.

Skoda Yeti is powered by a 4 cylinder 1968cc TDi Diesel engine that produces a power of 140 Bhp @ 4200 rpm and a peak torque of 320 Nm @ 1750 rpm. Coming to the performance review, this latest Skoda Yeti SUV model has a top-speed of 190KMph and offers a mileage of 17.00 kmpl in highways and 13.00 kmpl in city. Skoda Yeti features a 6 speed manual gear transmission.

Other features of Skoda Yeti includes Multi-element Axle, McPherson Suspension, ABS braking, 60.00 liter fuel tank capacity, Remote fuel filler, Remote central locking, 2 Airbags, parking sensors, 2 fog lamps, Traction coontrol, EBD, built-in Electronic vehicle stabiliztion program and adjustable tilt steering.  All these features makes the Skoda Yeti a perfect vehicle for Off-roading.

Skoda Yeti variants in India, Ambiente & Elegance - Features and Details


Skoda, an automobile manufacturer from Czech republic, also a subsidiary unit of the world famous brand, Volkswagen group is now all set to launch it's new Crossover model, Skoda Yeti in the ever growing D segment of the Indian automobile field. This is the first ever Crossover model by Skoda in the Indian market and it will be available mainly in two variants, Skoda Yeti Elegance and Skoda Yeti Ambiente.

This new Skoda Yeti comes to India with a 1968cc, TDi, 4 Cylinder Diesel engine and it gives a Maximum Power of 140 Bhp @ 4200 rpm and Maximum Torque of 320 Nm @ 1750 rpm. This new Skoda Yeti features a Top speed of 190 km and the Mileage of this new Skoda Crossover is about 17.00 kmpl in highway and 13.00 kmpl in cities. Also, the maximum fuel tank capacity is about 60 km.

It should be noted that the main difference between the two variants of Skoda Yeti, elegance and ambiente is that Elegance has 6 airbags in comparison to 2 in ambiente variant and it has 12 speakers with music system in comparison to 8 in ambiente variant. This new Skoda Yeti features a Six Speed Manual Transmission and also comes with a suspension of McPherson Suspension, Multi-element Axle and a tyre size of 215/60 R16.

This new Skoda Yeti, a 5 seater is available in India in six shades: Mato Brown, Candy White, Brilliant Silver, Corrida Red, Magic Black and Aqua Mist. This new Skoda Yeti Ambiente is available for Rs. 15.40 lakhs and Elegance is available for Rs. 16.62 lakhs (ex-showroom New Delhi).
